This large collection contains more than 300 Builder's Plates representing manufacturers such as the Ipswich Railway Workshops, Dubs & Co, Glasgow; Baldwin Locomotive Works (USA) and Clyde Engineering, Granville, NSW and Eagle Farm, Brisbane. Builders Plates were affixed to locomotives, carriages and wagons to identify the manufacturer and, in the case of locomotives, the number they had built.
