__Introduction__

A Floodplain Risk Management Study (FRMS) and Floodplain Risk Management
Plan (FRMP) for the Broughton Creek catchment has been prepared by Cardno for
Shoalhaven City Council. The Study identifies and examines options for the
management of flooding within the Broughton Creek catchment floodplain. This Plan
takes the recommendations from the Study and incorporates them into a plan of
implementation. Both studies have been prepared in accordance with the NSW
Government Floodplain Development Manual (2005).
