This is an electronic collection of digitised raw data sheets from the Brotherhood of St. Laurence Survey of Leisure Activities in1958. The collection consists of the master sheets containing the questions included in the Brotherhood of St. Laurence Leisure Study 1958 questionnaire, and the raw data sheets that record the respondents' coded responses. The coded responses were scored by means of a manual, entered on the cards, sorted and then tabulated manually. Additional comments were also recorded on the sheets. The results were subsequently published in the report "Leisure: A Social Enquiry into Leisure Activities and Needs in an Australian Housing Estate" by David Scott and Robert U'Ren. The original copies of the items are held by the State Library of Victoria. The digital copies have been created and are managed by the University of Melbourne eScholarship Research Centre.
