Brief description
This project will contribute to the continued restoration of approximately 5.4 hectares of vegetation within the Brisbane Koala Bushlands. Works will focus mainly on removal of weeds such as the Giant Rat's Tail and Fireweed. The nominated target area within Brisbane Koala Bushland contains two regional ecosystems, one of which carries significance under Queensland Government legislation. Regional Ecosystem (RE) 12.3.11 (palustrine wetland) is classified as ïof concernÍ while RE 12.11.5 (eucalypt forest) is ïof no concernÍ at present. Continued restoration activities in this area contribute to the restoration of Koala habitat and improve the resilience of existing adjacent communities.User Contributed Tags
