The H.T.W. Breidahl Moss Collection was donated to the University of Melbourne Herbarium in 1948 by his son Dr H.G. Breidahl (a University of Melbourne alumnus). It comprises approximately 400-500 historic moss specimens from the second major period of bryological exploration in Australia, primarily collected from Victoria, with some from Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland, New Zealand and South America. The collection is still used today by local and international researchers. Very little is known about the donor of the collection or its history. Collection items are findable through card catalogue and database (limited).Data time period: 1880 to 1920
