This dataset contains oceanographic data collected at a 50m coastal station off Boobie Island (Booby Island), off Thursday Island, Torres Strait (lat. 10 deg. 36 min. S, long. 141 deg. 54 min. E) between June 1977 and September 1983. The station was set up under the CSIRO coastal monitoring programme in the 1970s and was sampled approximately monthly for temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and nitrate. The data are stored on-line as part of the CMR hydrology archive in Hobart.
