Brief description Bioengineering involves creating replacement tissue using both artificial and biological material. The potential applications are endless. This project investigates how tissue engineering can be applied to structures in and around the eye. We begin with relatively simple tissue to replicate, such as the eyelid cartilage and lacrimal gland, before applying our techniques to more complex structures.
