The exhibition sought to explore the symbolic, semantic and decorative potential of flags, and the invited artists were asked to design for a particular location while considering its cultural and historical identity. The former CBA site in Bourke Street, once the site of the Bijou and Gaiety theatres, allowed S!X to examine, through a French translation of these older occupants and the decorative effect of the Metro sign, their own uncertain creative and imaginative location, somewhere at once in both Melbourne and Paris. The project continued their research into the use of the quadrant of cloth and allowed them to approach an artistic project from the perspective of the designer, for whom the square of canvas is never static and flat but always a volume in motion. S!X were the only invited fashion designers among prominent Australian artists in the exhibition including Aleks Danko, Callum Morton, Brook Andrew & Destiny Deacon.
