Brief description Pulmonary rehabilitation is a highly effective treatment for people with the chronic lung disease known as COPD, but in Australia it is delivered to less than 1% of those who would benefit each year. This study will test a new, entirely home-based pulmonary rehabilitation model, and compare its benefits and costs to a standard hospital program. If home-based pulmonary rehabilitation can be delivered successfully at low cost, this will improve the health and quality of life of people with COPD in Australia and around the world.
