Brief description I am a retinal specialist and clinician scientist directing a group dedicated to identifying improved treatments for blinding macular disease. My clinical research unit conducts randomised clinical trials and pioneered the use of intraocular steroid therapy. My Laboratory research group is interested in stem cell therapy, proteomic analysis of macular disease and the role of Muller cell dysfunction in retinal vascular disease.
