Brief description

Video library of terrestrial and aquatic natural history on the Indo-Pacific region. The footage contains behavioural sequences such as feeding and reproduction from many of the species of the region. In addition there is a large collection of images of scientific research and the threat faced by the region (e.g. coral bleaching, floods, cyclones)

Full description

The video library has been filmed over the past 20 years on various formats as technology has evolved. From Analog Betacam and Hi-8 to Digital formats – DVCAM, Digital Betacam, Panasonic Variacam, SONY HDCAM, Phantom High speed, Time Lapse JPEGS and now in 5 and 6K RED formats. The library encompasses various filming techniques, Terrestrial, Underwater, Aerials, Time Lapse, High Speed and Macro. A full list of content is available on supplied spreadsheet

Notes

Attached to this dataset are a selection of spreadsheets that are indexes to available video tapes that have been digitised. e.g. DD19.xls refers to tape DD19. The spreadsheet lists what is visible by description, species, scientific name, type of shot (underwater - animal), habitat, location time on the tape.
