Beaumaris High School (School No. 7570) (VA 5624) was a co-educational secondary school located in the suburb of Beaumaris, in Melbourne’s south-east.It first opened in 1958 in temporary accommodations, with Form I and II students attending classes at the local Methodist Church Hall and the Beaumaris Yacht Club. In November that year, students were able to move into a completed portion of the new school building on Reserve Rd.
The school saw increasing enrolments and additions to the school buildings over the next few years included a cookery centre, a needlework centre, a library, and two further wings with rooms for art and craft, music and needlework. In 1964, Beaumaris High School had its first matriculation class of 45 students and in 1967, a large science block was also added to the school.
At the end of 1987, Beaumaris High School was closed and merged with Sandringham Technical School (School No. 7320), Highett High School (School No. 7915) and Hampton High School (School No. 7890) to form the new Sandringham College (School No. 8739). At this time, the Beaumaris High School site became the Beaumaris campus of Sandringham College.
In December 2015, Sandringham College closed its Beaumaris campus and the facilities were demolished. A new school was approved to be built on the same former Beaumaris High School site, with works completed by the start of 2018. The new Beaumaris Secondary College (School No. 7566) opened for the start of the 2018 school year.
