This dataset comprises the current meter and tide gauge data collected as part of the 1991 Bass Strait Interdisciplinary Study, across the eastern and western entrances to Bass Strait during January-May 1991. There are 8 moorings with 17 current meters and 2 tide gauges represented in this dataset. Parameters typically recorded in current meter data comprise east-west and north-south velocity components, water temperature, pressure, and salinity at a nominal depth for each current meter. The data have been processed and are archived as part of the holdings of the CMR Data Centre in Hobart.
