Brief description
Ecological Monitoring by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy {AWC) includes targeted surveys for species of high conservation value and broader surveillance of animal guilds, with acoustic monitoring increasingly used to detect elusive birds. Surveys have particularly focused on threatened species and restricted range endemics, including many critical weight-range mammals such as: - Burrowing Bettong - Numbat - Greater Bilby - Kangaroo Island Dunnart - Chuditch (Western Quoll) - Red-tailed Phascogale - Woylie Recent data audit estimated that AWC has conducted more than 2 million motion-sensor camera and live trap nights since 2010 (not including the previous 20 years of survey efforts).User Contributed Tags
