This dataset contains de-identified transcripts with 25 women exploring their experiences and knowledge of menopause. This data set also includes the analysis of an online survey of 412 participants. Survey and interview questions are also included. This dataset contains sensitive information that is not suitable for open publication. Perimenopause and menopause can be accompanied by physical and psychological health issues that are known contributors to chronic health conditions such as heart disease, osteoporosis and oral health problems. They may also be associated with hormonal changes that cause symptoms such as night sweats, sleep disturbances, hot flushes, vaginal dryness, urinary frequency, impaired memory, anxiety and depression.
