The Australian Lepidoptera Research Endowment also supports the ANIC by funding projects that enhance the curation of the Lepidoptera collection.Lineage: This dataset is one of a series holding images from the Australian National Insect Collection. Full description

This collection is a set of images of specimens held at the Australian National Insect Collection (ANIC). The ANIC is a critical and authoritative resource for systematics, evolutionary biology, ecology, natural resource management, biosecurity and biogeography. It is the world's largest collection of Australian insects and other invertebrates such as mites, spiders, nematodes and centipedes, housing over 12 million specimens.

The Australian National Insect Collection is used by Australian and international researchers, industry, government and university students. It grows by more than 100,000 specimens each year.
