This is a collection of Australian film festival holdings at the AFI Research Collection. These film festival related materials have been collected by the AFIRC due to its relationship with the Australian Film Institute (whom had a very close relationship with the Melbourne Film festival and other festivals in Australia for many years) as well as donations from AFIRC stakeholders (eg. film critics and researchers), as well as direct donations from the film festivals themselves. The collection holds the film festival catalogues from the major Australian film festivals as well many smaller ones as well. It includes the many clippings files that have been collected by the AFIRC about the film festivals and other materials written about Australian film festivals.
