Brief description
Associate Professor Peter J. Clarke is a plant community ecologist in Botany, UNE.
His major research interest is understanding recruitment processes (regeneration) of natural and semi-natural plant communities. This information is of fundamental importance in the management of plant species and vegetation. This program is divided into three sub-programs; mangrove dynamics, woodland dynamics, and fire ecology. Other research interests include saltmarsh biogeography, sub-alpine wetlands, & plant co-existence.
