Brief description Little is known about the value – the outcomes produced and the cost of service delivery – of different types of maternity services across Australia. This project will fill a much-needed gap in information to guide the decision-making of both policymakers and consumers (pregnant women). Using a novel model based on linked administrative data for 186,000 births, this project will assess the value of different types of maternity services to individuals and to the health system.
