We performed a comparative study to determine the proteome of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from the chickpea pathogen Ascochyta rabiei, isolated from liquid culture media in the presence and absence of the host. In this study, label-free quantitative proteomics was used to find significant enrichment of EV proteins. These findings highlight the presence and functional importance of A. rabiei EVs in the interaction with and invasion of chickpea.Notes
