Full description

Aquasense is a Python package that provides a framework for aquatic sensor development with support for specific instruments, initially HOBILabs HydroScat (Spectral Backscattering Sensor & Fluorometer) and Trios RAMSES (radiometer).

Supported instruments can be integrated with data logging or other software or accessed via command-line driver scripts.

A HOBILabs HydroScat emulator (for the Arduino Uno microcontroller) is also provided, to permit testing in the absence of access to a real instrument. More may be added in the future.

This work has been carried out as part of a collaboration project (ERRFP-1254) between IMT Scientific Computing and the Aquatic Remote Sensing Team in the Environment business unit.
