Brief description Despite the prevalence of evidence-based clinical guidelines, studies show considerable gaps between care regarded as appropriate and care received. This study will, for the first time, identify the appropriateness of healthcare delivered to children in Australia, barriers that prevent appropriate delivery and test novel interventions to ensure appropriate evidence-based care can be delivered. In addition we will examine the frequency and nature of adverse events involving children.
