Full description

Appin Park Primary School (School No. 5207) (VA 5344) is a co-educational primary school located in the Rural City of Wangaratta, in north-east Victoria and is part of the Benalla, Mansfield and Wangaratta (BMW) network of schools. It is located at the end of Appin Street and backs onto One Mile Creek.

The establishment of Appin Park Primary School was first raised in 1980, with the works for a new school building contracted in 1981. The school was opened for the start of the 1982 school year, with students attending from the local community and surrounding farming communities.

In the 2018-19 State Budget, the adjoining Wangaratta District Specialist School (School No. 5226; also known as WDSS) (VA 5312), was allocated $2.2 million to increase the capacity of the school, and as part of this the facilities at Appin Park Primary School were also modernised. The same thing happened in 2020, when $5.235 million was allocated to the next stage of the Wangaratta District Specialist School master plan. While a new building was constructed at WDSS, the facilities at Appin Park were modernised once more, and a new hardcourt was built.

Data time period: [1982 TO 3000]
