Brief description
Strong Start - Bright futures Evaluation: Monitoring School Improvement and Community Development in the 20 Territory Growth Towns

This project is the systematic evaluation of the NT Department of Education and Training’s Strong Start-Bright Futures program in the 20 NT growth towns 2010-2013. The program aims to strengthen education outcomes for remote Indigenous children, strengthen school governance structures, provide children with relevant training and a pathway into jobs, enhance the delivery and coordination of early childhood services, and improve the number and qualifications of local Indigenous workers in schools. The evaluation methodology involves a high level of school and community consultation and will enable monitoring of the progress of implementation and program outcomes at a school/community and Territory level.
