Full description
The record contains four (4) data files for three different economics games (Public goods, Trust, and Bargaining) conducted with Chilean fishing communities of the San Antonio Province. All files are in .csv format.
The file ‘Bargaining game.csv’ contains data on players’ ‘ID’ (randomized), ‘Period’ (round of the game), ‘role’ (buyer/seller), ‘sold (a variable to indicate if the transaction occurred), ‘PriceR’ (price agreed), ‘ProfitR’ (profit in the round), ‘PoriftG1’ (profit in the game), and self-reported socioeconomic variables ‘age’, ‘gender’, ‘mstatus’ (marital status), ‘hmembers’ (household members), ‘incprovider’ (income provider of the household); ‘income’ (of the household), ‘secincome’ (whether the player had a secondary income different than from fishing), ‘caleta’ (which fishing association they belonged to).
The file ‘BidsAsks.csv’ contains data on ‘bid’ and ‘ask’ offers from buyers and sellers in the bargaining game; the file also contains data on the ‘Period’ (round played), ‘offer’ (number of offer), ‘ID’ (player’s ID making the offer), ‘role’ (buyer/seller), ‘caleta’ (which fishing association they belonged to), and ‘gender’ (self-reported).
The file ‘PG game.csv’ contains data on players’ ‘ID’ (randomized), ‘Initial’ (initial endowment), ‘Contribution’ (contributions to the group), ‘Remaining’ (money remaining after contribution), ‘Total.Group’ (sum of contributions from all members of a group), ‘Share’ (one third of the group’s money), ‘Payoff’ (‘Remaining’ plus ‘Share’), and self-reported socioeconomic variables ‘age’, ‘gender’, ‘mstatus’ (marital status), ‘hmembers’ (household members), ‘incprovider’ (income provider of the household); ‘income’ (of the household), ‘secincome’ (whether the player had a secondary income different than from fishing), ‘caleta’ (which fishing association they belonged to).
The file ‘Trust Game.csv’ contains data on players’ ‘ID’ (randomized), ‘Period’ (round of the game), ‘role’ (Sender/Receiver), ‘Send’ (money send by sender), ‘Received’ (money received by receiver), ‘Back’ (money send back to sender by receiver), ‘Returned’ (money received by sender), ‘ProfitG1’ (profit in the game), and self-reported socioeconomic variables ‘age’, ‘gender’, ‘mstatus’ (marital status), ‘hmembers’ (household members), ‘incprovider’ (income provider of the household); ‘income’ (of the household), ‘secincome’ (whether the player had a secondary income different than from fishing), ‘caleta’ (which fishing association they belonged to).
