Brief description Critically ill patients require rapid access to definitive care and delays in treatment may lead to poor outcomes. This study will examine the effect of ambulance diversion on outcomes for patients with selected emergency conditions e.g. heart attack, stroke and major trauma who are and are not directly transferred to tertiary centres. Ultimately, this research aims is to improve patient outcomes and improve emergency service performance.
