The collection is based on the essay, created in 1998, by Amber Sloan on the Australian actor Jocelyn Howarth and her involvement in the film The Squatters Daughter. Jocelyn Howarth (b. 1912) became a major Australian movie star during the 1930s when she appeared in the film 'The Squatters Daughter' and the 'The Silence of Dean Maitland'.
