Amanda Lawrence is Research Manager for the Grey Literature Strategies project and Australian Policy Online. Grey Literature Strategies is an ARC Linkage project running from 2012 until 2014 investigating the production, access and use of grey literature and public policy in Australia. Australian Policy Online is an online collection of policy reports and papers (mostly grey literature). Amanda was managing editor of Policy Online from 2006 until 2012 and remains involved with its ongoing development, including management of an ARC LIEF grant awarded to develop linked data capabilities in 2013. In 2010 she completed a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information management at RMIT and is a qualified member of ALIA. Following an Arts Degree with Honours at the University of Melbourne, Amanda worked in various roles in the cultural sector, including manager of the Literature Program at the Asialink Centre, University of Melbourne, from its inception in 1996 until 2005; program manager at the Victorian Writers Centre; coordinator of the 1999 Melbourne Festival of Poetry; and bookseller and newsletter editor at Readings bookstore. Amanda has given a number of papers on the development of Australian Policy Online and is a guest lecturer in information architecture at RMIT. Her publications include journal articles, conference papers and a study of the Asian market for Australian books.
