AIM FSP_TB04_WP20: Designing Jamming Actuation

Brief description This work package focuses on the design of actuators that use granular jamming - a type of actuation that uses granular particles plus a vacuum to "grip" or "move". Evolution will be investigated as a means to designing these actuation structures, considering e.g., spatial dispersal of granular material, design of granular materials, mixtures of materials, and potentially selection of host materials.
