Statement:
AusSeabed follows the recommended processing methodology as prescribed by the AusSeabed Multibeam Guidelines. Please note that certain products are subject to routine update (e.g. resolution, coverage, temporal variation, guidelines/best practice). The client is advised to refer to the latest version of all documents and products for the mostup-to-date material. For eCat records the version is expressed in the record title whilst products incorporate date of production as per AusSeabed’s file naming convention.

abstract: "This surface was created from a contracted national reference survey in Gulf St Vincent SA, collected for the purpose of calibrating multibeam echosounders. It was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program.
Separate grids are provided for the 2 surveyed sites within this survey area."
Lineage (Description): "These surfaces are 1-metre Shoal Depth True Position (SDTP) surfaces derived from International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) Special Order survey, with 1-metre Combined Uncertainty and Bathymetry Estimator (CUBE) surfaces supplied to the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO), with depth, position, density and uncertainty preserved from the original surface.
AHO Reference Surfaces are created for the calibration of MBES systems. The AHO recommends using them in their native coordinate reference system, as reprojection algorithms may introduce spatial errors. Therefore, this dataset is only available for download from AHO."

vertical-reduction-method: The data was collected using the GNSS coordinate reference system, then reduced to Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT) using an AHO-approved tidal model based on observed tides. Final adjustment to Mean Sea Level (MSL) by AHO. The data was converted from GNSS coordinates to ellipsoidal height by the contractor.

Processing methodology:
This dataset was produced using CARIS HIPS & SIPS as follow:
1. Processed in accordance with HIPP SOR 2020v 1.2 using CUBE techniques, 1m CUBE surfaces generated as the final L3 product (a gridded surface derived from cleaned point data).
2. Data was provided to Geoscience Australia for publication.
3. The final processed grid was exported as a 32-bit floating point Geotiff at 1m resolution, referenced to MSL, WGS 84 (EPSG:32753).
