Full description
The Municipality of Windsor [II] was established under the Local Government (Areas) Act, No. 30, 1948. (1) It comprised of two wards, the First Ward was the former Municipality of Windsor [I] and the Second Ward was the former Municipality of Richmond. (2)
The number of alderman elected in the first election was seventeen, nine for the First Ward and eight for the Second Ward. (3) This number was altered to ten by gazettal on 23 June 1950, which took effect in the following ordinary election of the Council. (4)
On 1 January 1981, the Municipality of Windsor [II] was dissolved and became part of the Shire of Hawkesbury, along with the Shire of Colo. (5)
