Book Book Public School in County Wynyard was known as Book Book Half-Time School, Provisional School and Public School until December 1987. The School was established as a Half-Time School in October 1924. A Half-Time School was an elementary school which catered for children in areas of sparce population. Teachers visited up to seven stations between them.
Book Book operated as a half time school in conjunction with Tooles Creeek until December 1925. In January 1926 the school opened as a Provisional School, becoming a Public School in November 1957. The school closed in December 1987 (1)
