Full description

Weston Fire Station was originally opened on 17 February 1909 with a voluntary fire brigade. Weston is situated between Abermain and Kurri Kurri in the Hunter region. In 1910 the Board of Fire Commissioners included Weston in the Kurri Kurri Fire District. A new fire brigade building was completed in October 1974. (1)

Weston Fire Station was recommended for closure in 2015 when the new station at Abermain was being build. Weston Fire Station appears to have been closed by 2019 with staff transferred to the nearby stations at Abermain or Kurri Kurri. (2)
