Full description
Following a petition submitted by residents in 1892, on 11 April 1893 the Borough of Mosman was proclaimed by Lieutenant-Governor Sir Frederick Darley. (1)
From 28 December 1906, following the passing of the Local Government Act 1906, the council was renamed as the "Municipality of Mosman". (2)
With the passing of the Local Government Act 1993, the Municipality of Mosman was legally renamed as Mosman Council from 1 July 1993 and aldermen were renamed councillors.
