Jamberoo (1) Public School in the County of Camden opened in May 1858. (1)

In 1858 the establishment of a public school required a minimum of 30 students. (2)

Jamberoo (1) was renamed Jerrara in June 1875. The school was converted to a Half-Time School in February 1908, partnering with Brandon Hill Half-Time School until June 1911 then with Croome Half-Time School from July 1911. In October 1914, the school was converted to a Provisional School which required a minimum of ten students. In January 1918, the school reverted to a Public School. (3)

The school closed in August 1950. (4)
