Gladesville Central Domestic Science School in the County of Cumberland opened in 1934. From March of the same year, it became known as Riverside Central Home Science School (1)

Home science and domestic science schools provided commercial and home management courses for girls. (2)

It became a high school in January 1959. As of 2015 Riverside Girls High School was still open. (3)
