Full description
Paddington Public School in the County of Cumberland opened in 1856. (1) At the time of the school's establishment a Public School required a minimum attendance of 30 students. (2)
In 1881 Paddington became a Superior Public School which offered both primary and post-primary education. (3) In 1913 it became a Junior Technical School, which combined post-primary education with technical training for boys, (4) and also a Home Science School which provided commercial training for girls (known as domestic science until 1942). (5)
In 1963 Paddington reverted to a Public School. (6)
As of 2014 Paddington Public School was still open. (7)
