Full description
Tyagarah Provisional School in the County of Rous was established in April 1895. (1) Provisional Schools were opened in area of smaller populations where insufficient children attended to justify the opening of a full public school. By 1895 twelve students were required to maintain a provisional school. (2)
In January 1900 Tyagarah Provisional School was upgraded to a Public School. (3) From 1880 the attendance of twenty children was required for the establishment of a Public School. (4)
During or after March 1909, Tyagarah Public School changed its name to Ewingsdale Public School. (5)
Ewingsdale Public School closed in December 1976. (6)
