Glen Morrison Provisional School [I] in the County of Vernon was established in 1873. (1) Provisional Schools were opened in areas of smaller populations where insufficient children attended to justify the opening of a full public school. By 1873 fifteen students were required to maintain a provisional school. (2) In October 1884 Glen Morrison was upgraded to a Public School [I]. (3) From 1880 the attendance of twenty Children was required for the establishment of a Public School. (4)

In September 1922, Glen Morrison became a Half-Time School, sharing a teacher with St Leonards Half-Time School. (5) Half-Time Schools were elementary schools for children in areas of scattered population and shared an itinerant teacher. (6) By 1922 no fixed number of children were required for a Half-Time School. (7)

In May 1924 Glen Morrison was again upgraded to a Provisional School. (8)

Glen Morrison Provisional School [II] closed in July 1936. (9)
