Bonville Half-Time School in the County of Raleigh opened in April 1888, partnering with Coffs Harbour Half-Time School. (1) In 1888 establishment of a Half-Time School required the attendance of at least 20 children, in two groups of ten or more. (2)

It became a House to House School in 1890, and in 1892 became a Provisional School which required a minimum of 12 students. (3)

Bonville became a Public School in 1895 then reverted to a Half-Time School in 1902, partnering with Boambee Half-Time School. In 1906 Bonville became a Public School.(4)

As of 2014 Bonville Public School was still open. (5)
