Forest Lodge Public School in the County of Cumberland opened in January 1883. (1)
In 1883 the establishment of a Public School required a minimum number of 30 students. (2) In 1891 Forest Lodge became a Superior Public School which provided both primary and post-primary education. It reverted to a Public School from 1913. (3)
As of 2014 Forest Lodge High School was still open. (4)
