Full description

Combaning Provisional School [I] in county Bland opened in September 1899. The school changed classification to a public school in 1906 and in 1917 it changed again to become a half-time school. It closed in September 1920. (1)

At the time of the school's creation as a provisional school it required a minimum of 10 students for the establishment of the school. The minimum number of students for a classification of a public school in 1906 was 20 students. (2)

Combaning Half-time School was partnered with Clear Hills Half-time School. (3)

There was a subsequent school at Combaning between 1922 to 1984. See AG/6518.
