Full description
The Randwick Municipality was established by proclamation on 23 February, 1859. (1)
On 25 March 1908 part of the Randwick Municipality was added to Botany North (2) and on 6 October 1944, part was added to Waverley. (3)
On 1 July 1990 the Municipality of Randwick was proclaimed a city and the council became known as Randwick City Council. (4)
In 2009, Randwick City Council celebrated 150 years of local government administration with a gala year of activities culminating in the launch of the award winning history book Randwick by professional historian Pauline Curby. (5)
