The Watch-house or Lock-up at Condobolin was 'declared and notified as a public gaol, prison and house of correction' by proclamation on 13 January 1902. (1) The gaol was used for short-sentenced prisoners in the District and in 1902 six prisoners were the daily average. (2)
By proclamation of 15 November 1905 the Condobolin Gaol was closed on 1 December 1905 and existing premises reverted to their former use as a Watch-house. (3)
