Mr Simon Isaacs Q.C. was appointed on 30 November 1979 to “inquire into the environmental aspects of logging in the Terania Creek areas and to recommend whether logging should or should not proceed." (1)

The Inquiry into Proposed Logging in Terania Creek commenced hearings on the 21 December 1979, and concluded on 30 April 1981. (2) The Inquiry held 116 sittings, and heard evidence from 67 witnesses. 400 exhibits were tendered to the Inquiry. (3)

The Inquiry ended with the publishing of the final report on 23 September 1981. (4)
