The Braidwood Court of General and Quarter Sessions was established on or by 9 December, 1858 at which time the courts District structure, based on NSW Police districts, appears to have been established. (1) The Braidwood Court of General and Quarter Sessions was placed in the Cumberland and Coast District (2) then transferred to the Southern [I] Division c.1862 where it remained until 1 January 1918 from which date the Braidwood Court of General and Quarter Sessions was abolished.(3) Hearings of Braidwood Court were proclaimed in the NSW Government Gazette.
