Full description

Advisory Committees representative of employees and employers in particular trades made recommendations for courses to be held in Technical Education Colleges, and to ensure that the efforts of these Advisory Committees would be co-ordinated and to provide for a discussion of general problems, Advisory Councils were established in 1936 in Sydney and Newcastle.

The Sydney Technical College Advisory Council paid close attention to the co-ordination of primary, secondary, and technical education, and was comprised of Education, District Extensions, Buildings and Equipment, Museum, Students Activities, Library, and Finance sections.(1)
