The Wyalong District Court [I] commenced by 26 March 1895 - the date of the earliest surviving records. The Court exercised a civil jurisdiction. By 1896 it was placed administratively in the South Western Division where it remained until 1967 when it was transferred to the Western Division. In July 1973 the court was reconstituted to acquire the Criminal Jurisdiction previously conducted by the Court of Quarter Sessions.User Contributed Tags
