The Court of Petty Sessions held in the Court of the Registrar of Bankruptcy, 7th Floor, Commonwealth Bank Chambers 108-120 Pitt Street, Sydney was established from 1 December 1943 with jurisdiction in and for the Central Police Office Petty Sessions District. (1)On 12 January 1959 the court was abolished together with three other Courts of Petty Sessions that operated from the same premises - those held in
the Board Room on the fifth floor; the room adjoining the Associate to the Judge on the seventh floor; and the Office of the Deputy Registrar in Bankruptcy on the seventh floor. The records of all these courts were ordered to be transferred to the newly established Court of Petty Sessions in Phillip House 119 Phillip Street, Sydney. At the time of its abolition the court was within the Central Petty Sessions District.(2)
