Full description

The Chemist Branch was established in 1892. (1) The Branch was responsible for analysis of soil, manure, and agricultural products such as milk, foodstuffs, wheat, sugar beet, poisonous plants, wine and water used for irrigation purposes. (2)

The Branch was incorporated into the Division of Science Services in the first half of 1941. (3)
